Architect/writer John Cary’s workshop Design for the Public Good explored how everyone deserves good design. Cary started Design for the 1%, an initiative to encourage more pro bono work by big-name architectural firms. The workshop focused mostly on an architectural perspective, but talked about how public interest design needs professionals from all academic disciplines. Cary encouraged the 30+ attendees to “find where your interests meet the world’s great needs.”
